Activity Assistant - Live Oak, Texas
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team at Advanced Rehabilitation & Healthcare of Live Oak. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by creating engaging and enjoyable experiences.
About the RoleAs an Activity Assistant at Advanced Rehabilitation & Healthcare of Live Oak, you will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, organize, and implement activities that stimulate the mind, body, and spirit of our residents. This includes:
- Creating and leading group activities, such as games, crafts, and entertainment programs
- Developing and implementing individualized activity plans to meet the unique needs and interests of each resident
- Encouraging socialization and interaction among residents, families, and staff
- Maintaining accurate records of activity participation and progress
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Plan and implement activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Participate in resident assessments and develop individualized activity plans
- Monitor and report on resident engagement and participation in activities
- Maintain a clean and organized activity space
- Assist in the care and management of activity supplies and equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in activity planning and implementation preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS
