At Gateway Diagnostic Imaging, a partner of Lumexa Imaging, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care through advanced imaging technology and a compassionate team approach. We are seeking a motivated and patient‑focused Float Ultrasound Technologist to join our team on a PRN or part‑time basis to help support outpatient imaging centers in Frisco, Plano, and Richardson, TX.
Position SummaryThe Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a fast‑paced outpatient imaging environment. This role ensures patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
- Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures (e.g., general, vascular, OB/GYN as applicable) in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Ensure proper patient positioning, image acquisition, and quality assurance
- Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients throughout the exam
- Recognize and document anatomical, pathological, and technical factors to produce high‑quality images
- Verify patient information, orders, and documentation for accuracy
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any issues promptly
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and front office staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and work areas
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- RVT and/or ARDMS (AB) and/or OB/GYN certification required
- State licensure as required
- Current BLS certification preferred
