MR & CT Technologist Job Plano area,Texas USA,Healthcare

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI & CT Technologist to join our team. This is a temporary/PRN position covering three locations—McKinney, Plano, and Richardson—working varied shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (80%) Patient Imaging

Performs routine and advanced imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision or repeats.

Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination.

Prepares patients for MRI and/or CT procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned.

Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed.

Maintains a positive attitude and working relationships with radiologists, referring offices and other team members and peers.

Converse with physicians, nurses, patients and family members as required.

Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect themselves, patients, and other team members.

Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).

Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and other team members.

Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.

(15%) Department Support

Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use.

Assists with maintaining an updated MRI and/or CT protocol manual and software upgrades.

Monitors medical supply inventory.

Assists with training of new team members and acts as a resource, providing technical expertise.

(5%) Performs other tasks and projects as assigned Required

ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, dependent on state regulations and business needs.
Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiography.
Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
Current CPR certification.
Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
Certification in imaging specialty.
2 years of MRI experience; customer service skills a must.

Preferred

Bilingual.
