Location:
This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Ideal candidates will be able to report to one of our Pulse Point locations in Richmond, VA, Plano, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Tampa, FL, St.
Louis, MO, or Atlanta, GA. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Pharmacy Contract Consultant within Carelon Rx Pharmacy Reporting & Analytics works in collaboration with a cross-functional team of technical developers, data analysts, project managers, program managers, and external representatives. The role is responsible for the review, red-lining, and documentation of pharma contract language specific to the delivery of operational data/reporting. The Pharmacy Contract Consultant must gain a working knowledge/understanding of our existing contractual obligations around operational data/reporting and be able to evaluate new proposed contracts/language for accuracy, compliance, and feasibility to ensure that contractual commitments made can be kept and that any data and reporting outputs are delivered to the satisfaction of all relevant stakeholders.
How you will make an impact:
- Track and manage details of service agreements.
- Handle day-to-day activities/inquiries associated with pharma contracts with internal departments and outside companies.
- Extract data, perform analysis, and identify trends and emerging considerations.
- Perform data and financial analysis to understand implications of contracted data delivery on current and future revenues.
- Assist and support in the amendment and finalization of contract language with pharmaceutical manufacturers related to pharmacy data.
- Investigate issues, provide/receive input and guidance on issues, challenges, and solutions related to pharma programs and initiatives.
- Partner with database analysts/developers to ensure that data provided matches to contractual language and intent.
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance partners to ensure that all data is protected appropriately.
- Manage multiple concurrent contract reviews to ensure that relevant service level agreement timelines are met.
- Represent for Carelon Rx as a subject matter expert in both internal- and external-facing meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in contract administration or program/project management, financial analysis, data extraction and manipulation; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- Experience with pharmaceutical products, including familiarity with pharmaceutical and health care terminology, contract terminology and service agreements highly preferred.
- Detail-oriented and organized in acquisition and retention of new information highly preferred.
- Polished/professional verbal communication skills with an ability to explain nuanced distinctions simply and succinctly to unfamiliar audiences highly preferred.
- Familiarity with contract management systems, such as Icertis, preferred.
- Familiarity with basic database concepts including datatypes and primary keys preferred.
- Familiarity with prescription processing software, such as Care Tend, CPR+, Enterprise Rx, Next Gen, or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of basic Excel formulas and data manipulation tools preferred.
- Experience performing data/financial analyses preferred.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities in parallel preferred.
- Ability to flexibly collaborate with cross-functional team members with differing skillsets under tight time constraints preferred.
- Ability to learn, evaluate, and offer performance improvement suggestions for existing multi-step processes preferred.
- Ability to build rapport, share appropriate information, effectively compromise, and drive to solutions with relevant external business partners preferred.
