Role: HFE Consultant
Work Location:
Plano, TX. Rate: $60/hr
Experience:
Typically requires 5+ years of relevant work experience or exposure to a technical/clinical environment.
Skills:
Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams; ability to quickly assimilate advanced domain knowledge; ability to operate with some degree of autonomy; knowledge of regulations and standards affecting medical diagnostics (desired).
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; prefer background in the sciences or a medically related field (such as but not limited to Biology, Chemistry, Nursing, Medical Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or related field of study).
Duties:
Responsible for implementing the strategic initiatives established by the business and the department. Responsible for tactical components of creating and driving customer-centric relationships cross-functionally to support product developments throughout the product(s) life cycle. Subject matter expertise in the technical application of product portfolio. Deliverables include but are not limited to:
- Validation gap closure
- Customer requirements update
- Risk files and clinical document reviews
- Evaluation of labeling that requires clinical input
- Protocol/report authoring, as needed
- User/usability requirements review
- Creating compliance checklists for standards such as IEC 62366 and IEC 60601-1-6
Travel: may be required up to 20% of the time domestically and/or internationally.
