We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual Spanish speaking Medical Assistant to join our Neuro, Spine, and Orthopedic team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional clinical and administrative support to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care for our diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures related to neurology, spine, and orthopedic care.
- Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant clinical information.
- Prepare patients for exams and explain treatment procedures as needed.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients in both English and Spanish to ensure understanding of medical instructions and care plans.
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance verification processes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Medical Assistant certification preferred. - Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required.
- Previous experience in a medical assistant role, preferably in neurology, spine, or orthopedic settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures related to neuro, spine, and orthopedic care.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- CPR certification is a plus.
