Advanced Practice Provider - Correctional Health - PRN

Role Overview: Provides primary and specialty healthcare services in a correctional setting, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals. Acts as a clinical resource and role model, overseeing practitioner and student performance to ensure high-quality patient care.

• Responsibilities:
  Performs clinical duties such as taking histories, conducting exams, ordering tests, and developing care plans. Collaborates with physicians, educates patients and families, and promotes interdisciplinary teamwork. Contributes to process improvements and supports department goals while delivering excellent customer service.
• Qualifications & Skills:
  
  Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant healthcare fields, with at least 2 years of clinical experience. Must hold current licensure and certifications appropriate to the role (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner), including BLS and state-specific licenses. Demonstrates leadership, strong communication, and patient-centered care skills.
