About

The Role

Thesis Pharmacy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sterile Compounding Lab Technician to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for preparing sterile compounded medications with precision and care, directly supporting patient care and collaborating with pharmacists and healthcare providers. Your ability to maintain rigorous standards of cleanliness, accuracy, and compliance will ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical solutions for our patients.

This position is ideal for a dedicated individual who excels in a fast-paced, regulated environment and is eager to contribute to the quality and success of our compounding operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and compound sterile medications in accordance with USP standards and pharmacy policies.
  • Translate, interpret, and enter prescriptions accurately; generate labels and required documentation.
  • Perform pharmaceutical calculations (e.g., concentrations, dilutions, and dosing) to support accurate preparation and dispensing.
  • Fill pharmacy orders and maintain complete, accurate dispensing and compounding records.
  • Prepare and maintain operational logs and documentation as required by policy and regulation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, physician offices, patients, vendors, and other medical personnel.
  • Maintain and track inventory, including receiving, stocking, and documenting materials used in compounding and dispensing.
  • Comply with state and federal laws, USP standards, and privacy requirements (HIPAA/PHI).
  • Follow safe manual handling practices and lift/move materials as needed to perform job duties.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision; adapt to changing priorities and workflows in a fast-paced setting.

Role Requirements
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license/registration in the state of Texas (required).
  • Sterile/IV Certification (required).
  • Prior experience working in a compounding pharmacy (preferred).
