SummaryResponsible for coordinating, communicating, and implementing activities and services related to the VR SEAL program, working jointly with the VR SEAL Lead to provide training and placement support through the SEAL Summer Work Experience Program.
Reporting & Work EnvironmentThe SEAL Coordinator reports to the Area Manager and is required to work 100% onsite at the listed location.
Your Impact on Career TEAM’s Success- Coordinating and implementing a quality work experience program for SEAL participants
- Outreaching VR Seal Referrals to provide program information and encourage engagement
- Communicating with SEAL Manager regarding issues needing VR partner engagement
- Acting as program liaison with SEAL trainees and guardians (if applicable)
- Conducting Work Readiness training with VR customers in compliance with the SEAL Plan
- Assisting in matching SEAL customers with available SEAL worksites
- Processing SEAL participants for enrollment into the ADP system
- Guiding customers and guardians through enrollment and wage payment system steps
- Scheduling and performing New Hire Orientations and Worksite Supervisor Orientations
- Completing worksite visit documentation
- Managing and analyzing work experience activities for policy compliance
- Ensuring Child Labor Law compliance of worksite activities
- Processing timesheets, payroll distribution, and resolving related issues
- Tracking and documenting outcomes and managing contractual goals related to the SEAL Program
- Reviewing performance evaluations and taking appropriate actions
- Approaching daily tasks with a “ZAG” mindset
- Performing other duties and projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience in training, counseling, case management, or related services
- Substantial case‑management experience and ability to read and interpret policies and procedures
- Experience working successfully with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to work in diverse settings with a culturally sensitive approach
- Role‑modeling skills to motivate customers toward achieving goals
- Personal computer literacy and proficiency with Internet, e‑mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent time‑management skills to meet deadlines under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
15% within and outside the designated worksite
