Position: Compensation Benefits Manager

Our client, a global leader in advanced electronics manufacturing and technology solutions, is seeking an experienced Compensation & Benefits Manager to join its North American Human Resources team. This individual will lead the design, administration, and continuous improvement of compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and business-focused, with experience supporting multi-state operations in a fast-paced manufacturing or technology environment. This role will partner closely with HR leadership, Finance, and business leaders to ensure compensation programs remain competitive and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all U.S. compensation and benefits programs across multiple business locations.
  • Develop, administer, and continuously improve salary structures, job leveling, and compensation philosophies.
  • Conduct market pricing analyses using industry compensation surveys and benchmarking tools.
  • Lead annual compensation planning, including merit increases, promotional adjustments, incentive programs, and salary budgeting.
  • Partner with business leaders on compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, internal transfers, and retention initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations, including FLSA classifications.
  • Evaluate and administer employee benefit plans including:
  • Medical
  • Vision
  • Life Insurance
  • Disability
  • 401(k)
  • Wellness initiatives
  • Work closely with benefits brokers and third-party administrators to optimize plan design and employee experience.
  • Manage annual Open Enrollment activities and employee communications.
  • Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and participation trends to recommend improvements.
  • Support executive compensation analyses as needed.
  • Develop HR metrics, dashboards, and reporting related to compensation and benefits.
  • Partner with Finance during annual budgeting and workforce planning activities.
  • Maintain HRIS compensation and benefits data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, IRS regulations, and other applicable employment laws.
  • Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative programs that enhance employee attraction and retention.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive compensation and benefits experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, technology, or global organizations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Salary benchmarking
  • Incentive programs
  • Benefits administration
  • HR compliance
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP, Oracle HCM, UKG, ADP, or similar systems.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence leaders and provide consultative guidance on compensation matters.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS)
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification
  • Experience supporting international or global compensation programs
  • Experience with executive compensation and incentive plans
