Job Description
Addison Group is partnering with our client to identify a detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to support the successful transition of new hires from accepted offer through onboarding. This position will coordinate onboarding activities, communications, documentation, pre-employment requirements, and related recruiting operations while working closely with HR, hiring managers, candidates, and other internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day onboarding activities to help ensure new hires complete required steps accurately and within established timelines.
- Track onboarding tasks, deadlines, calendars, and outstanding items while following up with appropriate stakeholders to keep activities moving forward.
- Prepare and distribute communications to candidates and incoming employees regarding required paperwork, pre-boarding activities, first-day expectations, and other onboarding requirements.
- Coordinate pre-employment activities such as background investigations, screenings, and other required hiring steps while monitoring completion and addressing exceptions.
- Assist with recruiting coordination, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, interview logistics, and preparation of materials for hiring teams.
- Maintain job postings across approved career platforms, job boards, and internal recruiting systems.
- Provide logistical support for recruiting events, career fairs, early-career initiatives, and other Talent Acquisition programs.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience in onboarding, recruiting coordination, HR operations, Talent Acquisition, or a related field; equivalent experience or an advanced degree may be considered.
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, or other human resources technology.
- Background in a corporate, recruiting, or high-volume hiring environment is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
