We are looking for an experienced interim Manager of Employee Relations to join the team in Plano, Texas on a Contract basis. In this role, you will provide hands-on HR guidance for a large operational workforce, supporting leaders and employees with employee relations, performance matters, and workplace concerns. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, communicates with empathy, works well across fast-moving teams, and can deliver consistent support in a high-volume environment.

This is a 6-8 week contract position

Interim Manager of Employee Relations (contract position):

Responsibilities:

- Act as the main HR contact for managers and employees, offering practical guidance on day-to-day employee relations matters.

- Support and lead sensitive workplace discussions with professionalism, sound judgment, and a consistent approach.

- Coach frontline leaders on performance management practices, including feedback conversations, documentation, and disciplinary steps.

- Conduct thorough reviews of workplace concerns and policy-related issues, documenting findings and recommended actions appropriately.

- Manage a steady flow of HR cases through a ticket-based support process while maintaining responsiveness and quality.

- Work with leaders across different regions and time zones to promote aligned HR practices and decision-making.

- Apply company policies and employment guidelines accurately when advising on employee situations and resolutions.

- Keep organized records of investigations, corrective actions, and employee relations activity within HR systems.

- Use tools such as Excel and HR platforms to monitor cases, analyze information, and support reporting needs.

- Partner closely with the broader HR team to resolve issues efficiently and provide a seamless employee experience.

Requirements - Demonstrated experience in an HR Business Partner, Employee Relations, or comparable human resources role.

- Strong capability in handling employee relations matters, performance discussions, and corrective action processes.

- Proven success conducting workplace investigations with discretion, fairness, and professionalism.

- Background supporting hourly and frontline employee populations within operational or service-driven environments.

- Ability to build effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and cross-functional HR partners.

- Comfort working with teams distributed across multiple U.S. and Canadian time zones.

- Strong technical proficiency, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to learn HR systems quickly.

- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
