AI Engineer
Hybrid Will start hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote); will eventually move to 5 days/week onsite in Plano, TX
The organization seeks senior GenAI Coaches to enable engineering teams to develop with AI using Git Hub Copilot, prompt engineering, and AI‑assisted coding workflows. Coaches will guide developers and scrum teams through structured adoption stages to improve productivity and delivery quality. The role involves hands‑on coaching, issue resolution with AI primitives, and collaboration across global teams within a follow‑the‑sun model.

Rate: $80.00 to $130.00/hr w2
Responsibilities- Deliver 1:1 and group coaching sessions for developers on demand.
- Lead 2 to 3 week application ramp‑ups for scrum or application teams.
- Evaluate developer usage patterns and identify improvements in AI‑assisted workflows.
- Teach prompt engineering, Copilot usage and optimization, context and repository management, debugging failed agent behavior, and managing or extending custom agents.
- Provide expert guidance to resolve issues with prompts, custom agents, custom instructions, and skills.
- Participate in community events, office hours, and expert appointments hosted by Level Up.
- Provide feedback on common challenges, adoption patterns, and areas needing refined guidance.
- Operate within a follow‑the‑sun support model across U.S. and Israel teams.
- Provide professional services for building AI workflows using Copilot.
- Hands‑ using AI tools for development, including prompt engineering, context frameworks, and agent troubleshooting, with emphasis on Microsoft Copilot products.
- Strong coaching, communication, and teaching skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse developers.
- Experience guiding teams in AI‑augmented workflows within modern Dev Ops and CI/CD environments.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and coach developers at varying levels of AI proficiency.
- Multidisciplinary technical background with prior experience across multiple stacks.
- Experience supporting large transformation programs at scale (preferred).
- Background working with distributed teams across global time zones (preferred).
- Knowledge of complementary tools for testing, architecture Q&A, Jira planning, and vulnerability management (preferred).
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
