Role OverviewThe Microsoft Business Unit at Argano is seeking a Microsoft Data & Analytics Presales Architect to serve as a trusted solution leader in support of enterprise client pursuits and account expansion. This role partners closely with sales leadership in a two-in-a-box model, shaping Microsoft-based data and analytics solutions that align to client priorities, drive measurable business outcomes, and enable long-term platform value.
This individual brings deep Microsoft Data & Analytics expertise combined with strong commercial instincts, executive presence, and the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear client value.
Key Responsibilities Commercial & Client Engagement- Partner with assigned sales leaders to support qualified pursuits across existing Argano client accounts.
- Lead discovery workshops to uncover business drivers, data challenges, analytics ambitions, and desired solution outcomes.
- Act as the solution authority for Microsoft Data & Analytics offerings, guiding clients from vision through solution definition.
- Create and present solution architectures, roadmaps, and value propositions to both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Architect end-to-end Microsoft data and analytics solutions aligned to Argano’s delivery standards and Microsoft best practices.
- Design solutions leveraging:
- Microsoft Fabric (Data Engineering, Lakehouse, Analytics, Data Science)
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure AI Foundry
- Power BI
- Microsoft Purview
- Define modern data architectures that balance scalability, governance, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure solutions support extensibility across analytics, AI, and broader Microsoft platform capabilities.
- Contribute to pursuit strategy, solution positioning, scope definition, and estimation.
- Develop technical content for proposals, SOWs, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Partner with delivery leaders to define execution approach and ensure continuity from presales to delivery.
- Partner with client technical leadership for solution oversight and escalation.
- Clearly articulate Argano’s differentiation and value in the context of the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Work closely with Microsoft field teams and Argano’s alliance function to support co-sell motions and joint pursuits.
- Stay current on Microsoft Data & Analytics roadmap, GTM priorities, and platform evolution.
- Collaborate cross-BU within Argano to identify and enable integrated solutions where appropriate.
- Provide Data domain assistance to Alliance and Marketing teams where appropriate.
- 12+ years of experience in data, analytics, or cloud architecture, with meaningful presales or client-facing consulting experience.
- Strong expertise across Microsoft Data & Analytics platforms, including Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
- Proven experience designing modern data architectures in enterprise environments.
- Experience estimating data and analytics solution implementations for successful sale and delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead client conversations, whiteboard solutions, and influence decision‑makers.
- Experience supporting complex pursuits within a professional services or systems integrator context.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to connect technology to business outcomes.
- Microsoft certifications in Azure or Data & Analytics (e.g., DP-600, DP-203, AZ-305).
- Experience positioning analytics platforms alongside AI/ML and advanced insights use cases.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience operating in a pod-based or two-in-a-box commercial model.
- Play a visible role in shaping enterprise data & analytics strategy within a Microsoft-focused practice.
- Partner with senior sales and Microsoft stakeholders on meaningful, long-term client relationships.
- Influence solution direction, platform adoption, and client outcomes across Argano’s broader portfolio.
