Senior Manager, Product Design (Senior Manager level - People Leader)

This role supports the Auto Loan Servicing team within the Experience Design organization.

• Drive design strategy and execution across internal systems, AI initiatives, mobile app design, and content design.
• Communicate effectively with VP-level stakeholders and lead a diverse design team in a data-heavy, regulated environment.
• Co-create innovative solutions to complex problems, shape product direction, and foster a high-performing design culture.
• Lead and mentor designers, reinforce an inclusive team environment, set goals aligned to portfolio strategy, remove barriers, and develop talent.
• Collaborate with product, tech, and business partners to ensure user needs are central to strategy and execution.

• Basic Qualifications:
  
  • At least 6 years of experience in a Product Design role
  
  • At least 6 years of experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
  
  • At least 2 years of experience in a people leadership role

• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  • At least 8 years of experience in a Product Design role
  
  • At least 8 years of experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
  
  • Experience contributing to an established design system
  
  • Experience collaborating with product, tech, and business leaders
  
  • Experience leading design projects or teams
  
  • Experience working in heavily regulated, data-heavy problem spaces

The candidate must be willing to relocate to Plano, TX if not currently located nearby. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for employment authorization. Salary ranges are location-based and communicated in the offer letter; this posting lists Plano, TX ranges as reference.

Plano, TX: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Manager, Design. Other locations follow respective pay ranges. The role may include incentive compensation (cash and/or long-term incentives). Benefits information is available on the Capital One Careers site and varies by status.
