Must Have Skills/Attributes:

Experience Desired:
Software architecture experience with a focus on data platforms and security (7-10 yrs);
Experience with geospatial data modeling or spatial analytics (7-10 yrs);
Designing end-to-end data platform architectures using Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or similar tools (7-10 yrs);
Proven experience designing solutions compliant with GDPR, HIPAA, USGCI, or similar regulations. (7-10 yrs)
- Lead and collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define, design, and implement robust platform solutions for Data Management.
- Establish overarching governance frameworks, compliance protocols, and architectural standards to safeguard data integrity and regulatory alignment.
- Define end-to-end architecture for data management and security platforms, including data ingestion, storage, processing, access control, and auditing.
- Develop reference architecture, blueprints, and best practices.
- Integrate security-by-design principles into all platform components; ensure data encryption, IAM, and secure data lifecycle practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and compliance gap analyses.
- Collaborate with engineering, Dev Ops, legal, compliance, and system owners to ensure data standards, metadata management, and lineage tracking.
- Mentor and guide development teams on secure coding and data handling practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and regulatory changes.
- Apply scalable design thinking to support petabyte-scale workloads.
- Note:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CIPP, TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect.
- 7 - 10 years of experience in software architecture, with a focus on data platforms and security.
- Proven experience designing solutions compliant with GDPR, HIPAA, USGCI, or similar regulations.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native security tools.
- Expertise in data governance, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
- Experience with data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs).
- Knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Big Query).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge on Security Compliances is nice to have.
