Join this collaborative team on a multi-year journey to modernize their infrastructure and applications as they transform the development, deployment and ongoing support to modern cloud-based platforms. You will play a pivotal role in transforming legacy systems into state-of-the‑art cloud, cloud native applications for this international supply chain organization.

Collaborate with platform engineers and development teams to create a highly scalable and secure infrastructure in a cutting‑edge AWS environment leveraging ECS, Lambda, Aurora, and other cutting‑edge tools. Design, automate, and operate using Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and modern observability practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Play an active role in hiring, staffing, and shaping the Dev Ops culture within the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual processes, driving operational excellence.
  • Lead design and implementation of complex infrastructure solutions and platform‑wide improvements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Chef, and Packer.
  • Contribute to the migration of legacy workloads by building automation and reusable IaC modules.
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications and infrastructure using Jenkins and Bitbucket.
  • Operate, consolidate, and improve observability platforms including Datadog, Grafana, Dynatrace and others to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Support migration of legacy workloads into AWS to enable services such as Amazon ECS, Aurora, S3 and Lambda.
  • Collaborate across the enterprises to deliver high-quality, production‑ready services.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and assist with onboarding new engineers by sharing documentation and knowledge.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in IaC, CI/CD, observability, and cloud‑native architecture across teams.
  • Influence technical architecture decisions and contribute to long‑term cloud strategy (AWS‑first, Azure support).
  • Document and share processes, playbooks, and infrastructure diagrams for knowledge transfer and team alignment.
BACKGROUND
  • Strong experience in Dev Ops, Site Reliability, or Cloud Infrastructure engineering.
  • Deep expertise in AWS cloud services (ECS, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.)
  • Expertise with Terraform Infrastructure as Code (Chef, Packer a plus).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and ECS containers and orchestration.
  • Strong Power Shell, Bash, or Python scripting skills.
  • Solid experience with Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI or Jenkins for CI/CD platforms.
  • Strong experience with Datadog and Dynatrace observability tools (Grafana/Prometheus or Open Telemetry a plus).
  • Solid understanding of Linux and Windows system administration and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency with Git version control
  • Solid understanding with cloud security best practices including IAM design, secrets management, compliance frameworks and encryption.
  • Solid experience with agile methodologies.
Bonus Skills That Will Impress Us
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud networking (VPC design, hybrid connectivity, routing, firewalls, load balancing) with an emphasis on secure, scalable architectures.
  • Background in software engineering, with ability to contribute to or review application code for operational readiness.
  • Hands‑on experience in data engineering or database administration (Postgres, SQL Server, No

    SQL) with a focus on performance tuning and scaling in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with platform engineering practices, such as building internal developer platforms (IDPs), golden paths, or self‑service infrastructure tooling.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field — OR equivalent experience.
