The Role:
As a Mule Soft Platform Architect
, lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise integration solutions using the Mule Soft Anypoint Platform. This role is responsible for defining reusable API patterns, architecting scalable microservices, and ensuring seamless connectivity across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Salesforce, SAP) and third‑party systems. The architect will oversee CI/CD pipelines, enforce security protocols, and drive API lifecycle management, governance, and monetization strategies.
Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders, architects, and Dev Ops teams, the Mule Soft Platform Architect will provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices are followed to deliver high‑quality, secure, and performant integration solutions.
- Define reusable integration patterns and API specifications (RAML/OpenAPI)
- Build and manage APIs and microservices using Mule Soft (Mule 4.x, Data Weave)
- Integrate cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Salesforce, SAP) and third-party systems
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Establish API governance, lifecycle management, and analytics
- Implement security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, SAML, SSL/TLS)
- Drive API monetization and consumption strategies
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and Dev Ops teams
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure minimal downtime
- Continuously improve performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Strong expertise in Mule Soft Anypoint Platform, including integration development, API led connectivity, and application network design.
- Hands on experience with Mule Soft platform administration, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- Proven ability to design and architect scalable integration solutions using modern design patterns and architectural principles.
- Deep understanding of integration needs within industrial manufacturing or similar complex enterprise environments.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, solution structuring, and estimation/resource planning for integration projects.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management, cross functional collaboration, and driving execution excellence.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Relevant Mule Soft certifications, such as Mule Soft Certified Integration Architect and Mule Soft Certified Platform Architect.

position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Plano, TX

The annual salary for this position is between $83,000 - $152,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
