Crestron Electronics is seeking a Manager of Quality Engineering to lead and develop our Touch Panels and User Interface testing team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position requires a hands‑on leader who can drive quality initiatives and manage a geographically dispersed team with a focus on UI/UX performance, reliability, and innovation.

You will have the opportunity to shape Crestron’s User Interface test strategy, cultivate a technically advanced testing environment, and guide our resources to deliver world‑class control solutions. The Crestron User Interface portfolio comprises award‑winning Crestron Touch Panels, Crestron Remotes, and top‑rated Android applications, which come together ubiquitously to deliver an elegant experience to our customers in both residential and digital workplaces.

The ideal candidate brings a strong passion for delivering high‑quality embedded products, a creative mindset for identifying customer‑impacting issues, and the ability to drive continuous improvements in testing processes. This role will be critical in ensuring Crestron’s Touch Panel solutions meet and exceed customer expectations across various markets.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, a keen understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies, and a commitment to fostering a culture of quality and continuous learning within the team.

Requirements:
  • Manage and mentor a team of Quality Engineering professionals, fostering growth and ensuring high performance across geographically distributed teams between the US and India.
  • Proven ability to define strategic goals for User Interface and Touch Panel quality engineering operations.
  • Deep knowledge of embedded systems, specifically Android-based operating systems, UI/UX testing strategies, and application frameworks.
  • Strong skills in evaluating product performance in complex environments involving networking (Layer 2/Layer
    3), third‑party integrations, and automation systems.
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions that balance product quality excellence and business alignment.
  • Experience driving the transition from manual to automated testing for Crestron Touch Panels products.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address patterns and trends in defect rates and product performance.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the strategic vision for the Touch Panels Quality Engineering team, ensuring high‑quality user interface products and components.
  • Lead a professional staff of 7 engineers (US and India), setting the team up for success across complex projects spanning multiple user interfaces.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, converting manual Android mobile and app test cases to automated tests to gain efficiency.
  • Assess and optimize both objective and subjective product performance, addressing challenges such as screen responsiveness, UI rendering, and network connectivity.
