Position: Lead Software Engineer - Service Now

Lead Software Engineer – Corporate Sector, Infrastructure Platform, Specialty Platform & Service team. Working within an agile group to design, build, and deliver secure, scalable market‑leading technology products that support the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute creative software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot technically, thinking beyond routine or conventional approaches.
  • Develop secure, high‑quality production code, review and debug code written by others.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues to improve operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for existing systems and information architecture.
  • Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote new and leading‑edge technologies.
  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications , Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training and certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands‑on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience developing and configuring on the Service Now Platform.
  • Understanding of Service Now configuration & administration, the platform, and PaaS model with relevance to Service Now integration solutions (SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, SFTP, and MID servers).
  • Experience leveraging Service Now codeless technologies – Flow Designer and Integration Hub.
  • Certified Service Now Administrator and Certified Implementation Specialist (one of ITSM, ITOM, CSM, ITBM, HR).
  • Experience with CMDB and integration with other external tools.
  • Experience with Service Portal, Request Catalog, and Automations across the Service Now platform.
  • Knowledge of AI and ML capabilities.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI/ML, mobile).
Preferred Qualifications , Capabilities, and Skills
  • Practical cloud‑native experience.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.

Our Corporate Technology team develops applications and provides technical support for all corporate functions across the network. The team works on projects that touch finance, treasury, risk management, human resources, compliance, legal, and corporate administration.
