Role Overview

The Senior Business Analyst (BA) will lead the analysis, design, and delivery of business and information system solutions within the SAP Finance landscape. The role serves as a functional and solution leader for SAP FI/CO and related Finance systems, collaborating with global business and IT teams to own and govern the SAP environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and Lead SAP Finance Solutions (40%) – Lead and own the configuration, optimization, and governance of SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling modules including GL, AP, AR, banking, fixed assets, new GL, cost elements, cost center accounting, internal orders, product costing, profitability analysis, and profit center accounting.
  • Solution Design, Delivery, and Project Leadership (30%) – Lead business requirements discovery, translate complex business needs into enterprise-ready SAP solution designs, own functional design decisions, manage system enhancements, resolve complex issues, oversee upgrades, test strategy, and manage medium‑sized projects or work streams.
  • Vendor and Partner Oversight (15%) – Provide functional and delivery oversight for external partners and vendors, enforce design standards, review solution quality, and maintain accountability.
  • Strategy, Architecture, and Data Governance (15%) – Contribute to IT strategy, influence long‑term SAP roadmap, and support data governance initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of SAP FI/CO experience with hands‑on configuration and solution ownership.
  • 7+ years of experience delivering SAP solutions in complex ECC and/or S/4

    HANA landscapes.
  • 5+ years of experience translating complex business requirements into enterprise SAP solution designs.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting or leading global finance processes in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to multiple full‑life‑cycle SAP implementations.
  • Experience with One Source Tax and complex tax integrations (preferred).
Preferred Technical Skills

Deep SAP FI/CO configuration expertise, knowledge of SAP finance architecture, integration patterns, scalable solution design, SAP S/4

HANA Finance experience, and experience with global and domestic implementations.

Leadership & Communication

Demonstrated ability to work independently as a senior contributor, influence stakeholders, challenge design decisions, and drive alignment across business and IT.

Project Management

Success leading SAP projects or work streams within a structured SDLC, managing scope, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.

Collaboration

Regular interaction with senior IT team members, finance leadership, business SMEs, and end users; work closely with third‑party vendors and systems integrators.

Physical Requirements

Work primarily seated, with occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs; standard office environment with computers, phones, printers.

Travel

Domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.

Location & Work Status

Full‑time, exempt role based in Pleasanton, CA or Plano, TX. Relocation not available.

Compensation

$93,400 – $190,600 per year.
