Scrum Master, IT Project Manager
Job Description
Broadcom’s Mainframe Software Division (MSD) seeks an experienced Agile leader skilled in coaching teams to become self‑organizing, high‑performing units. This role supports software development teams in delivering continuous value through deep understanding of Agile methodologies, change management, and continuous improvement. In‑person position; remote work is not an option.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coach software development teams to achieve self‑organization and high performance.
- Promote a healthy and collaborative work environment.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying enhancement areas and facilitating feedback loops.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other team leaders to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.
- Actively remove obstacles that hinder team progress, ensuring focused delivery of value.
- Monitor and track key performance metrics such as flow metrics, velocity, and cycle time to drive actionable improvements.
- Facilitate essential Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand‑ups.
- Advocate for and implement Agile best practices across teams and the organization, contributing to cross‑team collaboration.
- Solid understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and lean principles with the ability to adapt practices to team needs.
- Excellent collaboration, facilitation, and coaching skills, building trust and alignment.
- Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset capable of navigating changing priorities.
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Data‑driven decision making using Agile metrics.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and facilitation skills; managing expectations and influencing stakeholders.
- Experience guiding teams through change and fostering a growth mindset.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or global equivalent).
At least 8 years of experience in an Agile software development environment or related field.
Subject‑matter expert in Scrum, Kanban, and lean principles.
Experience coaching in an agile environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation and BenefitsAnnual base salary range: $108,000 – $172,800.
Eligible for discretionary annual bonus and equity awards under relevant plans.
