Overview

Manager, Data Science at Capital One Services, LLC, based in Plano, Texas (Plano Town Center, zip
31064). The role involves exercising discretion at a senior level and partnering with a cross‑functional team of data scientists, software engineers and product managers to deliver products that customers love.

• Exercise discretion at a more senior level.
• Partner with cross‑functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love.
• Leverage a broad stack of technologies—Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more—to reveal insights hidden within large volumes of numeric and textual data.
• Build machine‑learning models through all phases of development—from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
• Translate the complexity of work into tangible business goals.

Minimum:
Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field and 6 years of experience in performing data analytics.

Alternate:
Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields or an MBA or foreign equivalent degree in a quantitative concentration and 4 years of experience, or PhD or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience.

Also requires: 1 year of experience in leveraging open‑source programming languages for large‑scale data analysis; working with machine learning; and utilizing relational databases.

Must pass company assessment.
