Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data solutions sector, is seeking a Hadoop Developer to join their team. As a Hadoop Developer, you will be part of the Data Engineering department supporting the Big Data team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Hadoop Developer
Location: Plano, TX
What's the Job?- Involvement in the full development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment.
- Developing, testing, and optimizing Hadoop/Spark applications to handle large-scale datasets efficiently.
- Troubleshooting data issues and supporting production environments to ensure seamless data operations.
- Engaging regularly with local managers, Agile team members, and business stakeholders to align project goals.
- Designing and implementing Big Data solutions using Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, Hive, and Spark.
- Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark) and Big Data processing.
- Strong ETL, SQL testing, and data analysis skills.
- Solid knowledge of Spark development, including performance optimization and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Unix, Data Warehousing, scheduling tools, and scripting languages.
- Experience working within Agile teams and familiarity with CI/CD tools like Bit Bucket, Gradle, Jenkins, and Ansible.
