Roles & Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and manage Cockroach
DB distributed database clusters
* Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance of database systems
* Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing
* Manage data distribution, replication, and consistency models
* Support database migrations from traditional RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) to Cockroach DB
* Monitor database health and resolve performance bottlenecks and failures
* Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
* Develop and maintain ETL jobs using IBM Data Stage for data extraction, transformation, and loading
* Design data integration workflows to support business and analytics requirements
* Optimize Data Stage job performance and scheduling
* Handle data ingestion from multiple sources into target systems
* Perform data validation, transformation, and quality checks
* Troubleshoot ETL failures and ensure data pipeline reliability
* Manage and support Oracle database environments
* Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL scripts
* Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
* Support data modeling and schema design
· Assist in data migration and integration with Cockroach
DB and Data Stage workflows
* Maintain data integrity, security, and governance standards
