10 is currently seeking a Senior Application Automation & Cloud Operations Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ, Charlotte, NC, or Plano, TX. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.
This role supports automation solutions developed in Java and .NET, deployed across Linux, Windows, and Azure environments, with a strong focus on stability, performance, observability, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will partner closely with infrastructure, database, network, and vendor teams to ensure reliable, scalable automation services across the enterprise. The position requires participation in an on‑call rotation, including 2nd shift on weekdays and 1st shift on weekends.
Responsibilities- Provide 2nd level operational support for application automation platforms hosted on Linux, Windows, and Azure
- Maintain and troubleshoot Java and .NET based automation applications running on web, application, and database servers
- Develop, enhance, and support automation scripts using Python and Power Shell
- Perform application deployments, configuration changes, patching, and service recovery
- Monitor system and application health using Splunk dashboards, logs, and alerts
- Conduct performance analysis, tuning, and optimization
- Execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks
- Manage incidents through the enterprise ticketing system, including documentation, escalation, and closure
- Collaborate with database, network, storage, cloud, and vendor teams to resolve complex issues
- 5-8 years of experience in application or automation operations support
- Strong experience supporting Java and/or .NET applications
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows system administration
- Hands‑on scripting experience with Python and Power Shell
- Solid knowledge of SQL databases, including query creation and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting Azure and M365 environments
- Strong understanding of incident management, operational support processes, and SLAs
- Experience using Splunk for monitoring, troubleshooting, and corrective actions
- Ability to clearly articulate technical issues, business impact, and remediation plans
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
- Microsoft M365, Azure, or Exchange certifications
- Linux administration certifications
- Java, .NET, SQL, Python, or Power Shell certifications
Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
