Overview

Sr. Agile Delivery Lead to support highly technical engineering teams in a complex global delivery environment. Requires deep knowledge of agile practices and the ability to apply program delivery and project management approaches to support teams working against time-driven milestones. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative engineering culture while coaching teams and leadership on Scrum, agile principles, and modern software development practices.

This role involves working closely with global partners, including teams in Japan, to support cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Grow a collaborative and continuously improving engineering culture.
  • Teach and exemplify Scrum and agile values and principles.
  • Coach and provide feedback to individuals, including upper leadership.
  • Serve as a Scrum Master and facilitate Scrum Events when requested.
  • Deliver effective conflict resolution between individuals and teams.
  • Exhibit assertive yet friendly communication with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate expertise in estimation and planning techniques and explain release planning in an empirical environment.
  • Advocate for modern agile software development and organizational practices, such as XP, CI/CD, Dev Ops, and TDD.
  • Use excellent visualization skills to explain and create visual radiators.
  • Assist individuals, teams, and programs in clarifying goals and actions to achieve them.
  • Implement effective methods and practices for managing and resolving impediments.
  • Coach and support others in effective backlog creation, management, and refinement techniques.
  • Demonstrate effective techniques for managing team interruptions and protecting the team during sprints.
  • Work beyond team boundaries to improve efficiencies, workflow, and value delivered.
  • Partner proactively with product leadership to create estimated work, realistic roadmaps, and delivery plans.
  • Lead reporting on delivery progress and risks, and escalate and resolve issues as needed.
  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery visibility, including timeline development, risk identification and mitigation, and cross-team dependency mapping.
  • Explain differences between various Scrum Scaling frameworks and approaches.
  • Provide scaling expertise to align multiple agile teams and collaborate with large groups.
  • Facilitate complex technical discussions, driving clarity, alignment, and actionable outcomes.
  • Demonstrate deep system-level thinking and positively influence overall program dynamics.
  • Operate as a self-starter who proactively identifies and implements improvements to team delivery.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in an Agile Delivery Lead or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on development experience or substantial experience working directly with software development teams.
  • Deep knowledge of agile practices, Scrum principles, and agile coaching techniques.
  • Experience applying agile methodologies flexibly within environments driven by fixed milestones and delivery timelines.
  • Experience working with technical work streams such as APIs, architecture, environment creation, and testing.
  • Ability to quickly understand and interpret technical discussions, system architectures, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong coaching, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience with estimation, planning, and release planning techniques.
  • Experience with modern software development practices including XP, CI/CD, Dev Ops, and TDD.
  • Experience with Scrum scaling frameworks and scaled agile coordination.
  • Demonstrated system-level thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with global partners and cross-cultural teams.

Work Environment

Flexibility to support meetings outside standard U.S. working hours is required, typically between 5–, 1–2 times per week. Benefits include annual patent-a-thons and hackathons, catered lunches onsite, and a casual dress code. Hybrid position in Plano, TX.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
