A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Data Center Operations Specialist
.
Position type:
Full-time, Contract. Duration: 12 + Months.
Location:
Plano, TX 75024 (Onsite).
As a Data Center Operations Specialist
, you will:
The IT Operations Specialist (Data Center) provides hands-on, onsite operational support at the facility in Plano, TX. This role focuses on physical data center operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, equipment handling, documentation, and coordination with project managers, technical teams, and vendors. The position requires a daily onsite presence and the ability to respond quickly to on-demand operational tasks.
Must Have Skills- Hands-on experience supporting data center operations or IT infrastructure environments
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory management for IT hardware
- Ability to inspect, reconcile, and document inbound/outbound equipment using purchase orders, packing slips, and BOMs
- Working understanding of data center hardware including servers, storage, racks, cabinets, and structured cabling
- Experience with equipment handling, including racking, de-racking, labeling, and cable management
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate asset tracking, inventory records, and documentation
- Ability to identify damaged equipment, discrepancies, or delays and escalate issues appropriately
- Experience coordinating with project managers, technical teams, and vendors to resolve operational issues
The ideal candidate will have:
Hands-on data center operations experience with strong skills in shipping/receiving, inventory management, hardware handling, documentation, and the ability to work reliably onsite in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range*: $30 - $34 per hour
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
