Overview
As a Sr. Associate, Data Process Manager in Capital One’s Financial Services Data Strategy and Products (FS DSP) risk management organization, you will be part of a smart, talented team responsible for creating and enhancing processes that deliver excellence to your customer each time. The Sr. Associate, Data Process Manager will play a key role in delivering processes that impact the company’s bottom line.
In this position you will contribute immediately while strengthening your process management best practices.
- Day-to-day oversight of dataset metadata quality review processes. Monitor, report, and plan process improvement or redesign initiatives for metadata standards; define, establish, and manage metadata process controls; identify process improvement opportunities and implement them through collaboration with other groups; make final recommendations for approval on changes.
- Collect, analyze, and measure metadata quality and process data to initiate sustainable business practices and procedures and for reporting to senior leadership and executives; review data for trends and gaps in metadata quality that may require additional review.
- Resolve complex metadata quality issues or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against FS DSP metadata policies, guidelines, or processes; escalate breakdowns in metadata processes by asking the right questions and identifying and involving the right stakeholders to correct breakdowns.
- Maintain formal process documents, including those related to metadata quality standards, and document processes and projects (creating project reports, presentations, business cases, and diagrams).
- Collaborate on larger data strategy initiatives, including representing the FS DSP metadata review function on broader change control forums for input and to represent department interests; challenge forum decisions if project outcome impacts dataset metadata processes. Participate in cross-functional project teams to provide input and partner with groups on execution efforts related to metadata quality.
- Provide training to internal customers on metadata quality standards and review processes; may deliver presentations on metadata compliance, including up to the executive level.
- Conduct dataset metadata reviews, execute routine metadata quality controls, and perform other processes or parts of processes as needed to ensure adherence to standards.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office or G Suite productivity software
- At least 2 years of experience in Business Process Management, Project Management, or Risk Management
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- 1+ years of experience in data governance or data risk management
- 1+ years of experience with SQL and Python
- Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification
Plano, TX: $80,800 - $92,200 for Sr. Process Manager.
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
