Web and Email Specialist

Overview

The Web and Email Specialist is a key contributor to the Marketing team, responsible for managing East-West's website and email platforms to effectively communicate the ministry's mission and facilitate fundraising efforts. This role focuses on integrated digital marketing and operational support, including the execution of email marketing campaigns and automations through Hub Spot, as well as managing website content and SEO via Word Press and Elementor.

Additionally, the position provides administrative coordination, assists in creative content gathering, and performs data hygiene and marketing analytics to ensure organizational mission alignment. The Specialist is responsible for playing their part to achieve the bigger mission of East-West and for ensuring that all marketing activities are clearly aligned with East-West Ministries' Vision, Mission, Values, Statement of Faith, and biblical principles.

Position Summary

The Web and Email Specialist is a key contributor to the Marketing team, responsible for managing East-West's website and email platforms to effectively communicate the ministry's mission and facilitate fundraising efforts. This role focuses on integrated digital marketing and operational support, including the execution of email marketing campaigns and automations through Hub Spot, as well as managing website content and SEO via Word Press and Elementor.

Additionally, the position provides administrative coordination, assists in creative content gathering, and performs data hygiene and marketing analytics to ensure organizational mission alignment. The Specialist is responsible for playing their part to achieve the bigger mission of East-West and for ensuring that all marketing activities are clearly aligned with East-West Ministries' Vision, Mission, Values, Statement of Faith, and biblical principles.

• Create and send emails that effectively communicate the story of how God is being glorified through East-West
• Coordinate with departments, teams, and individuals regarding their email campaign goals, strategy, and implementation of their email series
• Create forms and develop automations to update contacts, add people to unique subscription lists, and start workflows for email series
• Set up and send email campaigns through Hub Spot for departments and events including development, marketing, short-term mission teams, mobilization, NEXT teams, and Arise

• Continually look for ways to improve the website's SEO
• Create new pages, edit existing pages, and manage overall website using Word Press and Elementor plugin
• Monitor web usage and strategize accordingly
• Create and maintain redirect links
• Regularly review website for keeping content up-to-date and accurate
• Work with website hosting company for larger web update projects as needed
• Maintain design of the blog, as well as troubleshoot problems that may arise

• Oversee the giving pages by creating new donation pages, creating event ticketing pages, and maintaining templates
• Maintain missionary donation forms and keep East-West donation forms current
• Manage relationship with donation platform software
• Stay up to date on updates to donation platform software, testing and implementing as needed
• Troubleshoot donor and giving issues and work with outside vendors as needed
• Problem solve with skill and with patience with end-user issues

• Implement data cleanup procedures
• Maintain email marketing lists through tasks such as removing duplicate accounts, audience segmentation, data validation, and database maintenance to optimize campaign performance

• Successfully utilize the following software and platforms:
  Word Press, Go Fund Me  Pro, Hub Spot, Adobe Suite, Google Analytics, Canva
• Assist in writing/editing copy for web pages and emails, and provide general administrative coordination

• Contribute to, attend, and/or lead East-West sponsored spiritual formation activities and perform other duties as assigned
