Job Description:

The Vulnerability Management Business Analyst is responsible for enhancing the organization’s understanding of emerging threats, analyzing vulnerability data to identify trends, and advising application teams on remediation best practices. Responsibilities include conducting vulnerability scans, evaluating threats, collaborating with IT and security teams, and developing remediation strategies.

The role requires expertise in information security to identify and characterize risks across networks, applications, and databases.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and analyze scan reports
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to meet remediation targets
  • Develop and maintain vulnerability management processes
  • Create detailed reports and participate in security incident response
  • Research emerging threats and monitor vulnerabilities and patches
  • Communicate risks to stakeholders and assist in remediation tracking
  • Maintain security tools, provide training, ensure compliance, and coordinate with vendors
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
  • Experience with vulnerability management platforms
  • Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, vulnerabilities, and security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
