Job Summary

Prompt Engineer – responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing prompts for large language models (LLMs) to deliver high‑quality, context‑sensitive responses in web applications.

• Design, engineer, and optimize prompts and few‑shot techniques to improve LLM performance on specific tasks (e.g., personalized recommendations).
• Evaluate LLMs through zero‑shot and few‑shot capabilities, fine‑tune hyperparameters, and ensure generalization across tasks.
• Investigate model interpretability and integration for robust web‑app deployment.
• Collaborate with ML, integration, and cross‑functional teams to define AI project requirements and align with business objectives.
• Conduct research on the latest advancements in generative AI, machine learning, and deep learning to identify product opportunities.
• Optimize existing generative AI models for performance, scalability, and efficiency.

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning and NLP pipelines.

• Solid background in developing generative AI models using deep learning techniques (e.g., GPT, VAE, GAN).
• Hands‑on experience with Lang Chain and LLM orchestration.

• Ability to evaluate models, fine‑tune hyperparameters, and assess model interpretability.

The annual salary ranges from $130,000 to $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program.
