Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available DNS architectures across on‑premise and cloud environments.
- Develop automation scripts and tools (Python, Bash) for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of DNS services.
- Monitor DNS health and performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting pipelines; troubleshoot incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis.
- Collaborate with network, security, and development teams to enforce best practices, DNSSEC, and DDoS mitigation strategies.
- Participate in capacity planning, scaling, and disaster‑recovery exercises to meet SLA requirements.
- 3+ years of experience operating DNS services (BIND, PowerDNS, or similar) in production.
- Strong Linux system administration skills and proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation.
- Hands‑on experience with monitoring/alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure‑as‑code concepts.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, DNSSEC, and security best practices.
