Senior Manager, Cyber Audit and Regulatory Engagements

As a Senior Manager of Cyber Audits and Exams at Capital One, you will work closely across the Cybersecurity organization to coordinate and execute on audit, regulatory and executive engagements. You will collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer to develop content for recurring regulatory meetings and must possess strong project management, risk, and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Execute a short- and long-term strategic plan to mature the department’s regulatory engagement and executive reporting programs, incorporating AI where possible.
  • Operationalize and maintain programs, including setting and managing processes for Regulatory Reporting, Audit engagement, and Executive Risk forums.
  • Lead and collaborate with various teams to improve and validate audit, regulatory, and executive reporting artifacts, driving engagements end to end.
  • Prepare formal reporting and engagement documents (e.g., regulatory examination walkthrough slides) and supporting artifacts.
  • Tailor verbal and written communications to audience needs and levels, articulating program strategy and intent.
  • Monitor progress by collecting, analyzing, and measuring engagement data and metrics.
  • Leverage data to initiate or improve readiness and response to ongoing and future engagements, identifying trends, gaps, and additional review or remediation needs.
  • Communicate lessons learned and actionable recommendations to executive audiences.
  • Manage the issue resolution process, proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to the engagements program.
  • Partner with Risk and technology teams on timely remediation of findings or outstanding issues.
  • Centrally drive remediation of any regulatory MRAs or MRIAs.
  • Proactively prepare the cyber organization for upcoming engagements by keeping the engagement calendar updated with risk office, regulatory relations, and third-line partners.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • At least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity or technology.
  • At least 4 years of experience in process or project management.
  • At least 4 years of experience in risk management or audit.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 7+ years of project management, IT, or Cyber audit experience.
  • Business Process Management (BPM) certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.

& Benefits

McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis
Plano, TX: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis
