Position
Senior Platform Engineer – Software Engineering Space and Air Center team.
Location:
Plano, TX (on site). U.S. citizenship required. Active, transferable Top Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
- Leverage company and industry best practices to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IaC solutions.
- Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to transition tightly coupled systems to a modern platform.
- Design, architect, develop and support build/test pipelines and optimize integration for performance and scalability across physical or virtualized computing environments.
- Support software tool customization and automation, including deployment of templates, dashboards and scripts using Ansible Playbooks.
- Collaborate with development, security, and systems engineering teams to design and implement mission solutions.
- Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management.
- Provide operational support for the platform, including SIL spaces.
- Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Experience in infrastructure automation and configuration management using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, virtualization technologies, and software deployment.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Active Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Experience deploying, configuring and supporting CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Git Lab).
- Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration and integration.
- Experience designing, implementing and integrating platform infrastructure services using IaC.
- Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience (server, storage, network hardware).
- Experience with programming languages (Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).
- Experience troubleshooting performance, reliability and availability issues across Linux/Windows platforms.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, Helm, Rancher).
Salary range: $86,800 - $165,200 USD.
