Systems Engineer, Cloud Computing: Infrastructure & Operations, SRE/Site Reliability
The Operational Intelligence Team seeks a strong engineer to develop, document, and drive the monitoring strategy and its adoption and evolution with a focus on standards and application instrumentation for critical Banking Applications. This role involves participating in the development and implementation of monitoring strategy and solutions aligned with business information flows and systems architecture. This is a unique opportunity to work with Business, Application Development and Support teams, Monitoring Tools teams, and to create Monitoring Requirements and build end-to-end monitoring solutions to support applications.
RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5 years of experience in production systems architecture, monitoring, or support roles
- 2 years of experience in development or architecture of multi-tiered applications
- Strong experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Tivoli, Site Scope, Catchpoint
- Experience with Cloud and Container monitoring (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- Strong understanding of N-tier architecture (Web, Middleware, Database layers)
- Application performance and availability monitoring
- Knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows/Unix) and infrastructure services
- Experience with Shell scripting / automation
- Experience with Java and/or .NET environments

PreferredSkills & Qualifications
- Experience in banking or financial services applications
- Exposure to Client ecosystem tools (M365, Co-Pilot usage/monitoring)
- Experience working in large, multi-data center enterprise environments
- Knowledge of Dev Ops and SRE best practices
- Familiarity with observability trends and tools (Open Telemetry, APM tools)
- Develop, document, and drive the monitoring strategy and its adoption
- Work with Business, Application Development and Support teams to create monitoring requirements
- Build end-to-end monitoring solutions to support applications
