DevOps Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with a leading automotive technology organization, is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to support new infrastructure initiatives, application features, and deployment automation within a large-scale cloud environment.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on helping teams understand where applications and services should be deployed, improving infrastructure processes, and moving manual workflows toward automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong infrastructure background while also being comfortable partnering with software engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily within AWS, with some exposure to Azure
• Create and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Support Kubernetes environments and containerized applications
• Use Python to automate infrastructure, deployment, and operational processes
• Support Git Ops-based deployment practices using Argo CD
• Help teams move manual infrastructure and deployment processes toward automated solutions
• Partner with software engineers and business teams to understand what is being built and where it should be deployed
• Support new application features and infrastructure initiatives
• Participate in automated testing and deployment validation
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues
• Contribute ideas and recommendations that improve automation, reliability, and engineering practices
• Participate in a fourth-level on-call rotation with approximately one to two escalations per week
• Work under the direction and guidance of senior Dev Ops engineers

What They’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or a similar role
• Hands-on experience using Terraform to build and manage infrastructure as code
• Experience supporting Kubernetes environments in production
• Strong AWS experience
• Exposure to Azure
• Hands-on experience with Git Ops and Argo CD
• Experience automating infrastructure, deployment, or operational processes
• Experience helping an organization move from manual processes to automated workflows
• Familiarity with automated testing
• Ability to understand application requirements and determine appropriate deployment environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and business teams
• Ability to contribute technical ideas and thought leadership

Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week
