Job Overview

Senior Cloud Engineer – Cloud Engineering team, Toyota Financial Services
. Lead the Cloud Engineering team by overseeing day‑to‑day engineering activities and maintaining Toyota’s cloud standards.

• Design, implement, and maintain a modern, automated cloud environment.
• Improve and uphold technical standards for development and operations, including coding standards and department best practices.
• Productionize new technologies and bring industry ideas into the organization.
• Act as a role model in Dev Ops, cloud automation, IaC, and cloud operations.
• Contribute to the development of a streamlined Dev Ops team and practice, including recruiting, mentorship, and promotion of Agile best practices.
• Document professional designs and best practices (ADRs, repo documentation, Confluence, etc.).
• Work independently and cooperatively with colleagues to design and build solutions needed for the organization.

• 6–10+ years of cloud engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Dev Ops engineering experience.
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency with git, source control, CI/CD, and inline documentation.
• Strong Terraform/CDK, Python, Bash scripting, Ansible, Helm, Make, and automation skills.
• Extensive AWS/Cloud knowledge: network, EKS/ECS, WAF, Lambda, API‑GW, IAM.
• Solid experience with security standards, infrastructure resiliency (DR, HA), and reliability engineering.
• Bonus: CDK – Python/Type Script, AWS Control Tower, Organizations, SCP, Config, Java, Go, JS, or other FE/BE software experience, AWS/Cloud certifications.
• Experience with Harness CICD or Git Hub Actions.
