Digital Transformation Department Manager

• This role leads the Digital Transformation (DX) and IT functions for a premier, asset-based third‑party logistics (3PL) provider established in 1986. As a key subsidiary of a world‑renowned global conglomerate, the company leverages an extensive North American and global logistics network—partnering with over 66,000 transportation providers across truck, rail, air, and ocean carriers to deliver end‑to‑end supply chain solutions. • As the DX Department Manager, you will lead the modernization of core business systems, infrastructure, and automation, collaborating closely with local executives and international headquarters. • Department Leadership & Strategy: Manage the DX team, consultants, and external vendors; set departmental goals, KPIs, procedures, and execute IT/DX strategies aligned with business objectives.
• System Operations & Support: Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of core platforms including TMS, International Supply Chain Systems (Cargo Wise), Accounting systems (MS Dynamics Business Central), and Microsoft 365.
• Project Management & Delivery: Plan and manage end‑to‑end IT/DX projects such as system implementations, automation, database/API/EDI integrations, and security enhancements using Agile/Scrum methodologies where appropriate.
• Vendor & Asset Management: Handle procurement, software licensing, hardware/software renewals, cost control, and contract negotiations with third‑party vendors.
• Global Security Coordination: Maintain information security standards, enforce IT compliance, and coordinate access control and risk assessments in alignment with global headquarters.
• Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (35 hours per week / 1-hour lunch). Flexible support may be required outside of normal hours for system maintenance or deployments.

• Base Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 per year
• Pay Type: Exempt
• Bonus: Annual discretionary bonus (based on performance, non‑guaranteed).

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: 8+ years in IT/Digital Transformation/System Implementation, including 3+ years of team leadership/management and 3+ years of IT project management.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of logistics business systems (TMS, WMS, Accounting platforms, Power BI). Experience with Tai, Cargo Wise, and MS Dynamics Business Central is highly preferred.
