Hadoop Engineer; Plano or Charlotte

Our client, a leader in data-driven solutions, is seeking a Hadoop Engineer (Plano or Charlotte) to join their dynamic team. As a Hadoop Engineer (Plano or Charlotte), you will be part of the Data Platforms Support team, dedicated to advancing innovative big data technologies. Job Title: Hadoop Engineer (Plano or Charlotte)

Location: Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC (On-site)

Pay Range:

• Support and manage complex Hadoop and Data Science platform operations across multiple environments.

• Implement upgrades, bug fixes, and deployments to ensure platform stability and performance.

• Monitor system metrics, troubleshoot issues, and forecast capacity needs to optimize platform efficiency.

• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and development teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with user needs.

• Maintain and enhance cluster configurations, security protocols, and disaster recovery procedures.

• Extensive experience with Hadoop architecture, HDFS, and cluster management.

• Proficiency with Hadoop components such as HBase, Kafka, Spark, Impala, and YARN.

• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, scripting languages, and database management.

• Experience with automation and Dev Ops tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and SVN.

• Relevant certifications such as Cloudera Admin/Dev or Cloud/Docker technologies are preferred.
