Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced OAMP/FCAPS / NMS-EMS Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, deployment, and troubleshooting of Network Management Systems (NMS), Element Management Systems (EMS), and OSS platforms within commercial wireless networks. This role will serve as a technical subject matter expert supporting 4G/5G RAN environments, network virtualization initiatives, and customer-facing technical engagements.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with OAMP/FCAPS subsystems, EMS/NMS platforms, OSS integration, software upgrades, Tier 3 support, and network management technologies within telecom environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, integrate, troubleshoot, and support OAMP/FCAPS subsystems for wireless network environments.
- Provide Tier 3 SME support for commercial NMS/EMS application issues, driving troubleshooting efforts and coordinating with R&D teams to deliver Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Develop and implement EMS/NMS and Network Element software upgrade MOPs for production networks.
- Support the introduction of new 4G/5G RAN Network Management features and virtualized network technologies.
- Gather customer requirements and translate them into technical system requirements and solution designs.
- Support product lifecycle management, software releases, feature validation, and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, sales, and customer teams to ensure successful deployments and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with network management integration activities involving OSS, EMS, NMS, and network elements.
- Support pre-sales activities by developing technical solutions and presenting architectures to customers.
- Participate in lab and field trials for new products and technologies.
- Troubleshoot issues using command-line tools, scripts, logs, and performance monitoring systems.
- Ensure customer commitments and project deliverables are achieved according to plan.
- Bachelor's degree or related field.
- 5+ years of experience with OAMP/FCAPS, OSS, EMS/NMS platforms, and wireless network management.
- Experience with EMS/NMS and RAN Network Function Virtualization (NFV) environments
. - Hands-on experience authoring and implementing software upgrade MOPs in commercial networks.
- Strong Tier 3 troubleshooting experience supporting NMS/EMS applications.
- Experience with SNMP, TNM protocols, and NMS/OSS interfaces.
- Knowledge of EMS applications, TR-069, NETCONF, YANG models, and REST APIs.
- Strong Unix/Linux administration and scripting experience (Shell, Perl, TCL).
- Understanding of hardware and software architecture concepts.
- Experience with High Availability (HA) and redundancy solutions.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Knowledge of Open Stack, Kubernetes, VMware, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with ETSI MANO, ONAP, TOSCA, and automation/orchestration frameworks.
- Understanding of virtual networking technologies including SR-IOV, VirtIO, VLANs, and Security Groups.
- Experience with SAN, NAS, and iSCSI storage technologies.
- Knowledge of 3
GPP Core and RAN architectures
