Senior Manager, Business Solutions – Overview
The Senior Manager, Business Solutions leads complex, technology‑enabled implementation and innovation initiatives that support the firm’s service lines, proprietary platforms, and enterprise strategy. The role manages large‑scale client and internal projects from scope definition through delivery, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget execution and high‑quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- People: Create a positive, accountable, and collaborative team environment aligned with core values. Lead, mentor, and develop professionals to ensure high performance and continuous growth. Manage resource allocation, workload distribution, and performance management.
- Project Planning: Create and execute detailed project workplans, enforce consistent methodologies and delivery standards, coordinate resources, timelines, and budgets across multiple concurrent implementation and innovation initiatives.
- Client Engagement: Manage internal and external enterprise tax technology and software implementation projects to completion. Define project scope, tasks, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation while maintaining disciplined financial oversight. Oversee functional and technical direction, requirements analysis, process design, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, client onboarding, and documentation.
- Innovation & Transformation: Coordinate execution of innovation and digital transformation initiatives aligned with enterprise strategy. Support ideation lifecycle, scope solutions, manage development through deployment, lead cross‑functional teams in building, testing, and monitoring technology and automation solutions.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure operational excellence through disciplined governance, quality controls, financial stewardship, adherence to firm standards, maintenance of data integrity, system reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, information systems, computer science, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 7‑10 years of experience leading enterprise software implementations, tax technology projects, or digital transformation initiatives. Preferred experience in consulting, implementation, enterprise systems, data management, process improvement, or tax‑related environments. Demonstrated success managing complex, multi‑workstream engagements in a client‑facing environment.
Technical & Professional Skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with enterprise systems, databases, reporting tools, and project‑management platforms.
- Strong project and program management capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to lead cross‑functional teams, analytical problem‑solving, financial and operational acumen.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, drive structured solutions, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience implementing enterprise software or automation solutions.
- Exposure to ERP systems or large‑scale business platforms.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, or transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of tax, accounting, or regulatory environments, including complex VAT scenarios and tax‑technology solutions.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Lean, or other structured project methodologies.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Agile/Scrum, Lean/Six Sigma, CPA or other relevant credentials.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on role assignment.
- May supervise team members and perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies.
