Toyota’s Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Advanced Compensation – Senior HR Technical Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide hands-on technical leadership for our Workday compensation ecosystem. This role is accountable for technical readiness, solution analysis, requirements definition, testing support, and operational stability for annual and off-cycle compensation events, while helping mature Job Catalog and Job Profile capabilities.
Reporting to the HR Technology Manager, the ideal candidate is a proven senior analyst or technical HR systems professional, comfortable working close to the system, data, and delivery details. The successful candidate will be able to translate business needs into clear technical requirements, partner closely with configuration and integration teams, support testing and defect resolution, and drive reliable execution in a complex HR technology environment.
This is an execution-focused role that requires strong technical depth, attention to detail, and day-to-day ownership, rather than broad strategic product leadership.
This position is based in Plano, Texas. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.
What you’ll be doingKeep compensation cycles running strong (salary + hourly): Own end-to-end technical readiness for annual, mid-cycle, hourly events, and off-cycle compensation changes; ensure stable integrations and clean data flows across Workday and downstream systems.
Operational excellence: Lead issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and defect prevention; establish regression planning, validation activities, and monitoring to improve reliability over time.
Drive Job Catalog maturity & Job Profile data expansion: Steward job architecture data; ensure Job Profiles are accurate, complete, and structured to support analytics, career architecture, skills frameworks, and compensation modeling; define data governance rules, appropriate adoption and audit for business objects within the process.
Technical analysis and solution leadership: Serve as the lead analyst for Advanced Compensation, helping define priorities, analyze business needs, translate requirements into technical documentation, and partner with Workday configuration and integration teams to support delivery without directly owning configuration work.
Technical & data excellence: Ensure design patterns align with enterprise standards and Workday best practices; assess upstream/downstream impacts; partner with data and reporting teams to ensure compensation and job data are accurate, timely, and usable.
