Senior Hadoop Architect/Technical Lead with strong knowledge of data systems engineering. MUST understand intricacies of database model design, and performance optimizations for in-database SQL processing and ETL.

• Working and managing specialized transaction repositories in the financial services domain
• research, design and operationalize the world of commerce into discrete, meaningful data categories
• working with clustering, principal component analysis, and heuristics based algorithms for behavioral segmentation and categorization
• Designing, modeling and architecting (logical, physical, data, information architecture) complex applications/systems for transactional databases
• Working with Statistical and Business Intelligence tools like Tableau for end state reporting and user support
• Conducting proof of concepts to evaluate Big Data platforms and technologies (Hadoop, No
  
  SQL) for advanced analytics and extend large database capabilities
• Working with Python/PySpark programs connecting to various database and repositories to load/export/process data
• Supports systems through maintenance, modification, problem resolution to support ongoing delivery of application ETL services and/or operations on the data-warehouse platform including on-call support
• Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource - should be ready to get into the weeds of the code, analyze and research data and SQL optimization problems, discuss technical details with the development/support team.
• Leads the resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
• Provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor, but also responsible for instructing, directing, and checking the quality and timeliness of other systems professionals.

• 10 - 15 years' experience for the following Hadoop Eco System:
• Java, Python, Spark/Scala, Kafka, Autosys, Shell Scripting
• experience designing, modeling and architecting (logical, physical, data, information architecture) complex applications/systems for transactional databases
• experience guiding developers
• experience with story grooming
• experienced in the resolution process for complex problems
• Hands-on experience AND experienced in instructing, directing, and checking the quality and timeliness of other systems professionals.
• Excellent communication skills - will be holding business discussions.
