POSITION SUMMARY

Under general supervision, you will be responsible for supporting the organization’s insurance and risk management programs. This is a highly collaborative role that works closely with property managers, property owners, and cross-functional partners to ensure accurate risk data, timely issue resolution, and effective risk mitigation across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with gathering and validating underwriting and exposure information for insurance renewals and upcoming takeovers throughout the year.
  • Ensure incident tracking system is up to date, working with internal stakeholders to track costs and determine potential insurance implications.
  • Follow the appropriate SOPs and provide guidance to other staff on how to report incidents through the proper internal and external channels.
  • Gather, review, and maintain internal documentation necessary to administer insurance claims.
  • Analyze claims and incident data to identify patterns, exposures, and areas for risk improvement.
  • Support internal and external stakeholders in the administration of corporate risk management initiatives including risk control and safety efforts.
  • Additional projects and/or tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preference will be given to candidates with degrees in related fields.
  • 1-3 years of commercial lines insurance experience strongly preferred.
  • An active Property-Casualty insurance license or other insurance related designations (e.g., AIC, AINS, etc.) preferred but not required.
  • Experience with administering and handling claims.
  • Experience working with Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Physical attendance at assigned work location during scheduled business hours is required.
  • Occasional overnight travel as assigned to attend company conferences, regional meetings and/or trainings.
  • Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.
  • Ability to work from multiple locations.
  • Ability to perform other duties as required.
BENEFITS
  • Associates who are regularly scheduled for and work 30 hours or more per week are eligible for company-sponsored benefits the 1st day of the month, following completion of 30 continuous days of employment. Benefits offered include medical, dental and vision coverage, as well as 401K and life insurance. Regular, full-time associates are eligible to accrue paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.
