- Assist the Account Executive when underwriting or brokering risks
- Obtain required information and complete proper applications
- Confirm quotes and binders in writing
- Issue policies promptly and accurately
- Make applicable state filings and pay taxes in accordance with state laws
- Process mail received by USPS, email, or fax
- Handle correspondence with company and producers as needed
- Process brokerage and contract endorsements
- Follow up on suspense items, applications, subject-to items, and inspections
- Request loss runs for years written with the office
- Order and follow up for inspections
- Review and have renewal letters processed
- Communicate with producers, company representatives, inspection companies, and finance companies
- Confirm required form coding and maintain updated policy/coverage-processing templates
- Assist Account Executives with reviewing, analyzing, and underwriting risks
- Rate submissions for premium and terms and analyze exposures for new and renewal business
- Issue written indications, quotes, and binders
- Perform other duties assigned by management or deemed necessary
- License General Lines
- Minimum education high school or GED
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Exceptional telephone demeanor
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- 1–3 years’ experience in a similar position minimum (preferred)
Demonstrates proficiency in underwriting and brokering risks, ensuring accurate policy issuance and compliance with state regulations. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with producers and company representatives.
