, we help healthcare providers recover revenue from underpaid and denied hospital claims through the federal ERISA appeals process. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Legal ERISA Claims Analyst to join our team in Plano, Texas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys investigating complex cases, conducting legal research, analyzing healthcare claims, and solving challenging reimbursement issues.
In this role, you'll have a direct impact on helping hospitals and healthcare providers recover significant revenue while developing specialized expertise at the intersection of healthcare, insurance, reimbursement, and ERISA law.
What You'll Do- Analyze complex hospital claims to identify underpayments, denials, and recovery opportunities
- Conduct legal and regulatory research related to ERISA, healthcare reimbursement, and appeals
- Draft persuasive appeal letters and supporting legal documentation
- Review medical records, billing data, claims information, and reimbursement policies
- Research regulatory and legal developments and apply findings to individual claim strategies
- Communicate with third-party administrators, insurance payors, and other stakeholders to resolve claim issues
- Track and document claim activity, deadlines, appeals, and case outcomes
- Use EHR, claims, and other systems to research and manage cases
- Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Collaborate with internal teams to move claims efficiently through the recovery process
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of experience in legal, healthcare, insurance, claims, reimbursement, or analytical work
- Healthcare insurance claims experience strongly preferred
- ERISA experience is a plus
- Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
- Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Comfortable working with detailed medical, financial, and legal documentation
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
