Job Posting: AI Voice Interaction Tester

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour

Job Profile Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented tester to evaluate the voice interaction performance of our AI-driven virtual assistant. The role focuses on assessing both the acoustic quality of synthesized speech and the accuracy and robustness of the Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) engine across diverse languages, accents, and real-world noise conditions. The ideal candidate blends a passion for conversational AI with strong coding and analytical skills and the ability to grasp audio testing methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Testing Execution:
    Conduct testing according to set standards and procedures; ensure all testing is carried out per defined protocols and submit results accurately.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Register detected bugs/issues and follow up with fix regressions.
  • Technical Testing:
    Experience testing web-based systems and applications on both computers and mobile devices using test scripts and test cases.
  • Linguistic Review:
    Edit and proofread translations for grammar, spelling, context, and punctuation.
  • Information Synthesis:
    Summarize information from multiple sources in both English and the target language.
  • Active Listening:
    Conduct active listening and note-taking to accurately capture spoken information in the target language.
  • Collaboration:

    Collaborate closely with other team members within the department and work with a wide range of media and translation software.
Requirements And Qualifications
  • Language:
    Native English speaker (Required). Must fluently read, write, and speak English.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) is highly preferred.
  • Experience:

    2–4 years of applicable professional experience.
  • Tech Savvy:
    Intermediate-level skills using computers, mobile devices, and spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Team player with great interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
    • Excellent time-management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Environment:
    Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.
  • Cultural Awareness:
    Understanding of cultural/linguistic nuances and political correctness; maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant linguistic, regional, and cultural trends.
