Assists attorneys with the handling of all aspects of litigation including, but not limited to, preparing discovery responses, meeting with staff to obtain necessary information and / or documents; preparing deposition summaries and related correspondence; assisting with motions, organizing and coordinating files, records and / or witnesses for hearings, depositions and / or trial.
Assembles and prepares witness and exhibit notebooks for trial, appeals and / or administrative hearings.
Assists with case management including contacting opposing counsel and calendaring as necessary.
Processes and enters data and documents into various databases, including relating to criminal and code enforcement matters.
Performs basic legal research and draft standard legal and trial forms, documents and contracts for review by supervising attorneys. Assists in researching and drafting ordinances, resolutions and contracts. Assists in the review of public records requests and responses.
