Manager Procurement – Field and Plant Operations (11992)
The Manager of Procurement will lead all negotiations for the assigned business unit or product category, develop relationships with internal stakeholders, and implement a strategic procurement discipline to maximize supplier contributions and meet business unit plans, objectives, and budgets. The role drives cost and contract negotiations, manages supplier escalations, provides procurement project management, and ensures all purchases comply with company policies and align with the strategic supply base.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, communicates effectively, executes multiple projects, and identifies solutions to complex problems. They have a positive attitude, partner with Executive leaders, and facilitate trade‑offs to optimize outcomes.
Responsibilities- Maintain deep category expertise through understanding and application of industry developments, marketplace trends, emerging technology, and leading practices.
- Lead supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
- Perform cost/benefit and comparative analysis for hardware, software, and professional services.
- Negotiate and manage the contractual approval process for MSAs, MPAs, SOWs, maintenance and support renewals, and other agreements.
- Manage complex bid and sourcing processes, evaluate proposals, select vendors, and award contracts.
- Handle supplier or business unit escalations through contract implementation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with functional business units to gather, analyze, and convey data supporting sourcing efforts.
- Coordinate sourcing and contract management activities across procurement teams to deliver benefits.
- Manage key supplier relationships, drive savings through innovation, and resolve issues and disputes.
- Approve supplier contract awards and purchase orders.
- Optimize spend against contracts and ensure compliance with business units.
- Provide negotiation summaries and performance reporting to senior leadership.
- Monitor the contract management process to meet budgetary costs or cost‑savings goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree (required); MBA preferred.
- 3+ years of functional procurement/supply‑chain experience.
- Experience leading complex cross‑functional initiatives with Senior‑leader sponsorship.
- Strong preference for Oracle Source‑to‑Pay experience.
- Experience in the network, software, or technology industry.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Excellent leadership skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and business‑partnering skills.
- Exceptional organization and time‑management abilities.
- General knowledge of contract structure and key terms.
